Segway Japan aimed to enter the e-scooter ride-share market, which was already dominated by a competitor. To make an impact, they needed a new brand that would appeal to a wide range of users and stand out in the competitive landscape. Objectives included creating a compelling visual identity, developing user-friendly digital platforms, and launching engaging marketing campaigns to capture the attention of environmentally conscious consumers.

To ensure the brand stood out in Japan’s crowded e-scooter market, I crafted the entire brand strategy and visual identity. This included designing the UI/UX for the landing page and mobile application and building an e-commerce site for Segway Japan’s entire product line. The brand message was colorful, fun, and relatable, aiming to educate and appeal to environmentally-minded customers. This was promoted through the “Love Electric” marketing campaign.
Additionally, I managed and created copy, static visuals, and numerous video content for social media, ensuring consistent brand messaging across all platforms. Leveraging tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, I delivered a cohesive and engaging user experience. Among the social campaigns I launched was the “How do you Jojo?” campaign, where users showcased how they used e-scooters in their daily lives, attracting customers who might not have considered e-scooters for purposes beyond commuting to and from the station.

This comprehensive approach resulted in significant user engagement and a stronger market presence. Since its launch, the brand has continued to grow, steadily gaining ground on its competitor. Positive user feedback and increased brand recognition have further solidified JOJO's position in the market. The service is now available in several locations and has expanded to offer corporate contracts, demonstrating its broad appeal and effectiveness.
